‘FLINT’ – NEW PIECE BY ROGER ENO AND MORE

ST SWITHIN – NORWICH ARTS CENTRE

Norwich Arts Centre and Norwich Historic Churches Trust have come together and commissioned Roger Eno to write a piece of work celebrating St Swithin’s Church (Norwich Arts Centre). This brand new piece entitled “Flint” will be premiered at Norwich Arts Centre at 12.30pm and 2.30pm on both Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 April. Roger will also be playing other pieces of work between 11am-4pm whilst the building is open.

Roger Eno is a composer, multi-instrumentalist and sound artist who cannot be easily categorised. He is hard to pin down and slippery as a fish, yet creates lush, emotive soundscapes which quite easily swallow you whole.

Roger’s powerful and versatile body of work easily lends itself to, and is frequently used in, TV, theatre and film (Danny Boyle’s ‘Trainspotting’ and ‘Mr Wroe’s Virgins’ – for which Roger was BAFTA nominated, Dario Argento’s ‘Opera’ and Trevor Nunn’s NT production of Betrayal).
